Achieved results of the project by the team of Khmelnytsky National University (KhNU)

    – The Office of the Student Ombudsman has been established at KhNU – The Regulations on the Student Ombudsman are available at the link, booklet of the Office of the Student Ombudsman is developed (link)
    – 4 launch events were held to acquaint students of Khmelnytsky National University with the strategy of the future Office of the Student Ombudsman. Seminars were held for students and teachers: for specialities “Computer Engineering” of different courses – 04/10/2017; for Faculty of Programming and Computer and Telecommunication Systems – 06/05/2017; for Faculty of Engineering Mechanics, Faculty of Technology and Design and Faculty of International Relations – 09/12/2017; for Faculty of Humanities, Education and Economics – 09/26/2017
    – 2 seminars were held to disseminate the results of the project (dissemination seminars) to acquaint students of Khmelnytsky National University with the functioning of the Office of the Student Ombudsman, as well as the Code of Academic Integrity of KhNU. Seminars were held for students and teachers: for specialities “Computer Engineering” of different courses – 09/18/2018; for Faculty of Programming and Computer and Telecommunication Systems – October 2, 2018
    – Regulations on the observance of academic integrity of KhNU (link), REGULATION on the activity of Khmelnytsky national university in the intellectual property domain (link), Code of Academic Ethics of KhNU (link), Regulations of the Commission on Academic Ethics and Integrity of KhNU (link) were developed
    – A training course for doctors of philosophy “Human rights, sexual orientation and gender identity” has been developed and introduced into the educational process. (link)
    – Project participants T. Hovorushchenko, A. Herts, O. Savenko, S. Lysenko attended monitoring and training meetings at the Royal University of Technology in Stockholm (Sweden), Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia), Moldova State University in Chisinau (Moldova)
    – Project participants Hovorushchenko and A. Herts were held the guest lectures at NAU “KHAI” (Kharkov) and at MNTU aftername Bugay (Kyiv)

The amount of funding, which Khmelnytsky National University received from the EU: 54445 euros.

Impact of the project at the individual (professional) level

International projects, including and the ERASMUS + HRLAW project contribute to consistently high enrollment of students at KhNU for the speciality “Computer Engineering” (third year in a row – 1st place in KhNU in enrollment), as teachers emphasize the participation of the university and department in international projects at all career events, on the equipment of laboratories of the department with modern equipment at the expense of the European Union.

Training students with using modern equipment, using licensed modern software, purchased with EU funds, contribute to the successful employment of students

Participants of the project (currently 4 people) through participation in its activities acquired teamwork skills, and improved their language skills (2 certificates B2 in English – T. Hovorushchenko, O. Savenko)

Lecturers’ understanding of involvement in the educational process changes dramatically while working on the project: teachers participating in the project focus on teaching students through research and personal experience; develop effective intellectual tools in students; reject inefficient notching of the material; reorient students’ mental reserve to the development of the ability to analyze, argue and create; actively support student innovations and startups

Impact of the project on the sphere of higher education

The project’s contribution to the “recognizability”, competitiveness, the attractiveness of KhNU in Ukraine:

– leading executor of the project, Doctor of Law, A. Herts has developed a unique course “Human Rights, Sexual Orientation and Gender Equality”, which has no analogues in Ukraine. More than 100 sources from Ukraine and the world were analyzed to develop this course. Therefore, in our opinion, the developed course will be in demand among teachers of legal disciplines and students of legal specialities.

– the equipment purchased at the expense of the project increases the attractiveness of the university in the eyes of potential entrants

As a result of the project, an innovative element emerged at KhNU – The Office of the Student Ombudsman, which is of great importance for students and faculty of the university. This is an innovative approach aimed at protecting the rights of human beings (mostly students) in higher education.

As a result of the project, the Academic Ethics Commission started its activity in KhNU on the basis of the developed and approved Code of Academic Ethics and the Rules of Procedure of the Commission, which is of great importance for KhNU, taking into account modern requirements and needs for academic integrity. The Code of Academic Ethics and the Rules of Procedure of the Commission, developed during the project, are used as examples T. Hovorushchenko, when teaching the discipline “Management of scientific IT projects” for students of the third level of higher education in the speciality “Computer Engineering”

Досягнуті результати проекту командою Хмельницького національного університету (ХНУ)

• Створено Офіс Студентського Омбудсмена в ХНУ – Положення про Студентського Омбудсмена доступне за (посиланням), розроблено буклет Офісу Студентського Омбудсмена (посилання)
• Проведено 4 запускові семінари (launch event) для ознайомлення студентів Хмельницького національного університету із стратегією майбутнього Офісу омбудсмена у правах студентів (The Office of Student Ombudsman). Семінари проводились для студентів та викладачів: спеціальності «Комп’ютерна інженерія» різних курсів – 10.04.2017; Факультету програмування та комп’ютерних і телекомунікаційних систем – 05.06.2017; Факультету інженерної механіки, Факультету технологій та дизайну та Факультету міжнародних відносин – 12.09.2017; Гуманітарно-педагогічного та Економічного факультетів – 26.09.2017
• Проведено 2 семінари для поширення результатів проекту (dissemination seminars) для ознайомлення студентів Хмельницького національного університету із функціюванням Офісу омбудсмена у правах студентів (The Office of Student Ombudsman), а також Кодексом академічної доброчесності ХНУ. Семінари проводились для студентів та викладачів: спеціальності «Комп’ютерна інженерія» різних курсів – 18.09.2018; Факультету програмування та комп’ютерних і телекомунікаційних систем – 02.10.2018
• Розроблено та прийнято Положення про дотримання академічної доброчесності ХНУ (посилання), ПОЛОЖЕННЯ про діяльність Хмельницького національного університету у сфері інтелектуальної власності (посилання), Кодекс академічної етики ХНУ (посилання), Регламент роботи комісії з питань академічної етики та доброчесності ХНУ (посилання)
• Розроблено та введено в освітній процес навчальний курс для докторів філософії «Права людини, сексуальна орієнтація та гендерна рівність» (посилання)
• Учасники проекту Говорущенко Т.О., Герц А.А., Савенко О.С., Лисенко С.М. відвідували моніторингові та навчальні зустрічі в Королівському Технологічному Університеті м. Стокгольм (Швеція), Талліннському технічному університету (Естонія), Молдовському державному університеті м. Кишинів (Молдова)
• Учасниками проекту Говорущенко Т.О. та Герц А.А. були проведені гостьові лекції в НАУ «ХАІ» (м. Харків) та в МНТУ ім. Бугая (м. Київ)

Вплив проекту на індивідуальному (професійному) рівні

Міжнародні проекти, в т.ч. і проект ERASMUS+ HRLAW сприяють стабільно високому набору студентів до ХНУ на спеціальність «Комп’ютерна інженерія» (третій рік поспіль – 1-е місце в ХНУ по набору), оскільки викладачі підкреслюють участь університету та кафедри у Міжнародних проектах на всіх профорієнтаційних заходах, наголошують на обладнанні лабораторій кафедри сучасною технікою за кошти Євросоюзу.

Навчання студентів на сучасному обладнанні з використанням ліцензійного сучасного ПЗ, придбаних за кошти Євросоюзу, сприяють успішному працевлаштуванню студентів

Учасники проекту (наразі це 4 чоловіки) завдяки участі у його заходах набули навички роботи у команді, здатності до навчання і покращили свої мовні навички (2 сертифікати В2 з англійської мови – Говорущенко Т.О., Савенко О.С.)

Розуміння викладачів щодо причетності до освітнього процесу кардинально змінюється під час роботи над проектом: викладачі-учасники проекту акцентують увагу на навчання студентів через дослідження та власний досвід; розвивають в студентів ефективні інтелектуальні інструменти; відкидають неефективне зазубрювання матеріалу; переорієнтовують розумовий резерв студентів на розвиток здатності аналізувати, аргументувати і творити; активно підтримують студентські інновації та стартапи

Вплив проекту на сферу вищої освіти

Внесок проекту до «впізнаваності», конкурентноспроможності, привабливості ХНУ в Україні:

    – провідний виконавець проекту д.ю.н., А.А.Герц розробила унікальний курс «Права людини, сексуальна орієнтація та гендерна рівність», аналогів якого немає наразі в Україні. Для розроблення цього курсу було проаналізовано більше 100 джерел України та світу. Отже, на нашу думку, розроблений курс буде користуватись попитом серед викладачів юридичних навчальних дисциплін та студентів юридичних спеціальностей

    – придбана за кошти проекту техніка підвищує привабливість університету в очах потенційних абітурієнтів

В результаті реалізації проекту в ХНУ виник інноваційний елемент – Офіс омбудсмена у правах студентів (The Office of Student Ombudsman), який має велике значення для студентів та професорсько-викладацького складу університету. Це інноваційний підхід, спрямований на захист прав людини (здебільшого, студента) у закладі вищої освіти

В результаті реалізації проекту в ХНУ розпочала свою діяльність Комісія з академічної етики на основі розробленого та затвердженого Кодексу академічної етики та Регламенту роботи Комісії, яка має велике значення для ХНУ, враховуючи сучасні вимоги та потреби в академічній доброчесності. Кодекс академічної етики та Регламент роботи Комісії, розроблені під час виконання проекту, використовуються в якості прикладів Говорущенко Т.О. при викладанні навчальної дисципліни «Управлінні науковими ІТ-проектами» для студентів третього рівня вищої освіти спеціальності «Комп’ютерна інженерія»

Ensuring the sustainability of project result

The project had great support from the management of KhNU (both for the introduction of a new discipline and for the establishment of the Office of the Ombudsman for Students). The project had great support from students, as shown by the launch seminars (launch events) and seminars for the dissemination of project results (dissemination seminars) for students and teachers of KhNU. Such support of both the management and the students, on whom the expected results of the project are directed, gives an opportunity to hope for the sustainability of the project results after its completion.

With the assistance and at the request of the Student Ombudsman A. Boyko, the Department of Computer Engineering and Systems Programming, with the support of the Khmelnytsky IT cluster, equipped the auditorium for student space and recreation area for students in the academic building №1 KhNU (not at the expense of the project)

Purchase of equipment useful for the effective implementation of the project to achieve the project goal and further use – by UAH 626 622 (contract №3-2018 from 06/27/2018, invoice №31 from 09/04/2018) and by UAH 160 943 (contract №2-2020 from March 17, 2020, invoice №5 dated June 5, 2020)

The first tranche of equipment provided an opportunity to equip 2 classrooms – the classroom of the Department of Law (4-518) and the classroom of the Department of CESP (1-205), as well as the office of the student ombudsman

The second tranche of equipment was received on June 10. It is currently being registered (which is somewhat complicated under quarantine). As soon as the equipment is registered, the equipment will be immediately placed in classrooms with the appropriate ERASMUS +  stickers
